Diving deeper into my spellwork & services!

I have gotten some questions along the way of how my spells really work! I have also gotten questions about how witchcraft itself works, how the reading work, and so on! I hope this post explains everything and as always, if you have questions, email me!! 

Planetary Hours & Magic.
I use planetary hours, if you do not know what that is, every hour or so there is a ruling planet. This can vary based on day & where you live! So my planetary hours may be completely different then yours! The first hour of the day is the ruling planet; for example, Monday is ruled by the moon! So the first planetary hour of that day would be the moon.

Every planet has it's own meaning too. For examples, I will do healing spells & reflection spells on a Monday, communications on Wednesday, and love spells on Venus day. Explaining more, Mercury is the planet of communication, travel, and technology. Venus is the planet of love, social life, and luxury. 

I may also cast spells on certain days of the week as well to help enhance it! If the days do not line up it is no big deal! I will always use the planetary hour(s) & other ways to help boost the spell.

How does Spellwork ACTUALLY work?
Of course, spellwork is not really about what herbs, candles, crystals, and other materials you use. Yes, it plays a big part, but it is also the belief and intention! You can have all the right candles, herbs & oils, but if you do not believe in it, your spells will not go anywhere! 

But just alone, witchcraft is just about manipulating energy. There are many different types of witches and practices. Energy can not be destroyed or created, the spells itself manipulate this energy. A good example of this is transmutation spells. The purpose of it is taking the negative energy, cleansing it, and changing into something else! A lot of people usually do money or abundance, but you really can set it for any intention! 

For readings, tarot cards have 78 cards with 5 suits. Every tarot card has it's own meaning. The pictures tell the story of the card as well, colors, numbers, imagery, and intuition are the main components of reading & understanding the cards. The pentacles, swords, cups, and wands itself have their separate meanings as well as the major arcana! Divination is seeing the energy surrounding you & seeing the bigger picture. These readings will help will navigating what spells are needed. This is very important before casting always!

The main purpose is obviously seeing if the spell is safe & if it can be casted. Sometimes spells may worsen a situation or it may not be the right time to cast it. It also allows me and you to see the blockages that may be stopping said spell. For example, love spells alone may not help what outcome you want. Love spells can help enhance feelings & actions towards you, but it will not get someone to reach out to you. This is because communication spells & love spells are two separate intentions & spells! 

What other factors play into your spellwork?
There's different practices to witchcraft! However, I do not personally have a set one (I mean maybe there is a name for that LOL). Like some witches may be green witches, kitchen witches, hedge witches, and so many more!! I will say I do use a lot of different practices (as long as they are opened of course). I mainly use candle magic for my spells. You will also see lot's of crystals in my spells too, it is one on my favorite ways to tie a spell together. Other things like oils, spiritual colognes, runes, & sigils! I also do use photos to burn to help *taglock the spell. I am always learning & trying new spells out for you guys! At times I may burn a small piece of paper with intentions & sigils on it to help boost the spell too. It all really depends on what I feel called to & what is really needed! All love spells may look different, even if it is the same spell, it really depends on the situation.

Sometimes as well you may see in photos crystals being added or removed, same with herbs! This is totally normal, I move the crystals around (so they do not get wax / get too hot). I will may add herbs along the way if I get called to it (same with other spell ingredients!). 

I also have a candle I light during spells and readings. This is protection candle for me and the client! Of course if you want your own separate protection spell I am more than happy to do that for free :-)! I also have candles for cleansing and protection for after the spell and readings too. This is so the energy is always cleansed and spells & readings flow smoothly.

I do lots of cleansing and protections off camera and usually daily (especially after each spell and reading)! All spells as well I will usually add a protective herb just for safety.

I will also say I do not work with any gods or goddesses. I tried and it just was not for me & did not connect for me personally. Of course everyone has different practices & I am very supportive and find it so interesting everyone's different stories with deities!! I love learning about all different deities too. I always thought I needed to work with a deity to be a witch, but there is actually a lot of witches who do not!! Which I was shocked, talk about learning something new everyday. Some witches (like myself) believe and send the energy to the universe, but some witches just send the energy out or call it in. 

What inspired the fairy branding?
Originally, my account was The Fairy Gardens. This just because I love working with the earth element & I had always loved fairies when I was younger, this is also important to note here that fairy and faerie are different. Faerie is more proper when it comes to practicing and the spirits, fairy is more of the fictional aspect, I felt like it would make more sense, especially since I do not work with the fae. I will add I am very open to learning & have been doing research about the fae & faerie magic.

I am also Irish, and the faeries & fairies are heavily tied to Irish history! It is a big part in Irish folklore, beliefs, and culture! Which I had no idea until a few months ago, my real name (Torrin) is Irish as well and has a connection to the faeries, so it is sort of all interconnected :)! I started to learn more and it is now becoming apart of my practice more!

Of course, a lot of my practices and strengths are rooted in faerie magic. Glamour workings, illusion magic, healing, and using the elements! 

When I was creating the website back in early December 2024-Febuary 2025, that is when I decided to make the website be The Fairy Gardens, and my witch account be thefairywitchh!
